We are collaborating with a Global Life Sciences organization to recruit a highly qualified and experienced Research Lab Supervisor/Laboratory Manager responsible for managing the daily functions of our research laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific research, laboratory management, and team leadership. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure that all laboratory activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
You will be responsible for managing laboratory staff, coordinating research projects, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of research data. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and implement laboratory policies, manage budgets, and collaborate with other departments and external partners. Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing daily laboratory operations, ensuring safety compliance, managing staff, coordinating research projects, and maintaining equipment
- Develop and implement policies, manage budgets, collaborate with departments and partners, enforce safety protocols, prepare reports, troubleshoot technical issues, stay updated on technology, conduct audits, provide support to staff, dispose of hazardous materials, maintain a productive work environment, implement quality control measures, participate in grant writing, and represent the lab at professional events
- Key responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, record-keeping, resolving technical issues, and staying current on research methodologies
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a research laboratory setting.
- Proven experience in laboratory management and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
