Role: Pipeline and Riser Installation Engineer
Based: Paris, France
Duration: 12 months


The selected candidate will be responsible for providing the specialized installation engineering/operational and decommissioning support for scopes related to subsea rigid and flexible pipelines; rigid, flexible and hybrid risers; dynamic and static umbilicals; rigid and flexible spools/jumpers; tie-ins; FOC and power cables; SURF related structures and other; for various (conventional & deepwater) offshore projects and fields.

Scope of work might include support during various project execution phases (conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED, tendering, detailed engineering, project reviews, on sites installation works, commissioning, etc.), R&D, decommissioning, integrity interventions/EPRS and other.

Objectives & Deliverables: 
Main activities relative to Installation engineering:
  • To ensure that state of the art, Company referential (General Specifications), Project Particular Specifications, local rules/laws and other applicable international standards & codes are implemented and addressed where required during works.
  • To complete the technical documentation (issued by Contractors or others) review-approval process on time as per agreed deadlines/schedules in compliance with Project Specifications and Procedures, CPY General Specifications, Discipline requirements and international norms and standards
  • To support and supervise, when required, on site activities during offshore installation related works. To ensure that all HSEQ, technical and interface requirements are properly defined and implemented during execution of installation activities, and particularly with regard to approved documentations, cost and related schedules. Assist during preparation of Company SIMOPS dossier, co-activities, etc.
  • To follow testing activities (FAT, EFAT, SIT, pre-commissioning, etc.) performed by Contractor(s) or other parties from an engineering point of view.
  • To review the specifications of the Contractor’s proposed vessels according to Company’s requirements. To organize and perform Technical Assurance Qualification Program activities (including audits/inspections worldwide, preparation of reports, etc) for marine installation spreads/vessels as per requirements. Prepare recommendations for marine spread approval.

Skills required: 
  • Engineer with 10-15 years of experience (more than 5 years of experience with project supervision in relation with SURF activities.
  • Participation to a recent deep-water and offshore cable installation project, including offshore operations)
