My client is a large chemical company looking for a Safety Technician in the Garland, TX area. The role is a 3 month contract with full time hours and the intent to convert to a permanent role.
Contract: 3 Months (temp to hire)
Location: Garland, TX
Hours: 40/week

The Safety Technician may be responsible for assisting with daily administration and implementation of Occupational Safety and Heath programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements that promote a safe and healthful working environment. May be capable of performing assignments of limited scope and complexity following the direction of the Safety Health and Environmental Department.
Areas of Expertise:
• Machine guarding, Lockout/Tagout, Line Opening, Confined Space Entry, Hot work
• Regulatory compliance laws
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Manage multiple projects
• Computer skills
• Exhibit positivity, passion, integrity, and responsibility
Work History:
1-3 years of relevant work experience in Safety
• Conducting walking through inspections and behavior-based safety observations
• Participating in accident investigations
• Metric and KPI’s
• Recordkeeping, life safety, and other application regulations
