Sales & Tendering Engineer

Location: Hybrid, 2 days a week in Stone office
Full-time, Permanent

NES Fircroft is supporting our global power and energy client to recruit a Sales & Tendering Engineer to join their Transformer Service organisation. 

Reporting to the Product Market Manager within the Transformer Service organisation supporting the Spare Parts business as a focus area for growth.
Ø Prepare/support preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements.
Ø Regularly reports the status of the bids/estimates/quotations using defined tools and collects and analyses the reasons for tenders being lost and won.
Ø Deliver excellent customer service
Ø Support the Business Development Manager to enable future growth.
Ø Manage and contribute to the bid/tender process.


Main Accountabilities
1. Service sales delivery - Implement sales strategy. Promotes all offerings to the benefit of the customer. Understands the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices.
Identify sales opportunities

2.Customer Approach - Establishes long term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements.

3.Tendering - Receiving enquiries and preparation of Customer quotations. Contacting factories for price & delivery information. Receiving customer orders, reviewing and ensuring sales orders are as tendered and acknowledged in line with company procedures.

4.Factory Interaction - Agreeing and processing of purchase orders for relevant factories. Completion of delivery documents and arranging shipment in conjunction with the stores department or factories. Invoicing delivered orders in a timely manner.

5.Marketing - Acts as a marketer/salesperson of service offerings and products during marketing activities (trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).

Requirements
  • Strong sales/tendering/bids/estimates/proposals management background
The technical side of this role regarding the products and services can be taught on the job.
