Job Title: Senior Accountant/Comptable Unique
Service Location : Carros
Report to : Accountant Manager
Liaises with : Accounting department, HR, Group Tax, Reporting, Cost control, Group consolidation, Treasury Department, external auditors, Legal, French administration, External consultant
Target Start date: ASAP
Estimated Service Duration : 6 months renewable
About the mission :
You will be in charge of the bookkeeping and financial statements of Our client, based in the Group engineering laboratory in Carros (06). The company mission is to provide advanced engineering support to the Group projects and perform technology projects as part of the Group technology strategy.
Role Overview:
Participate to the daily/monthly accounting process
Provide account analysis on a quarterly basis for the Group Consolidated Balance Sheet report sent to the Group consolidation team
Responsible of the preparation of the statutory Financial Statements under Franch Gaap

About the mission :
You will be in charge of the bookkeeping and financial statements of Our client, based in the Group engineering laboratory in Carros (06). The company mission is to provide advanced engineering support to the Group projects and perform technology projects as part of the Group technology strategy.
Role Overview:
Participate to the daily/monthly accounting process
- Perform the monthly closing tasks : booking of non-recurring journal entries and cut off entries
- Prepare or review payroll/employee benefits bookings
- Prepare and control inter company rebill of project costs from SBM entities to the company you are in charge of
- Software reconciliations (SUN/SAGE)
- PP&E register follow up (acquisition; commissioning; disposal; depreciation; inventory…)
- Bank reconciliations
- Prepare CIT / VAT returns and other French tax requirements (CIR-Credit research tax, Surveys BDF/Insee..)
- Review the impacts of project subsidies contracts
- Ensure internal control procedures are applied (IcoFr framework);
- Ensure Group accounting policies are applied in the accounting processes of the relevant companies
- Ad hoc audit missing if needed (R&D project statements)
Provide account analysis on a quarterly basis for the Group Consolidated Balance Sheet report sent to the Group consolidation team
- Contribute to analysis of consolidated balance sheet at sub-consolidation level
- Prepare consolidation journals for the relevant companies ;
- Prepare yearly disclosures;
- Provide support to consolidation issues (blocking controls, I/CO mismatches, unrelevant Jnls..)
- Ad hoc requests from Accountant Manager
Responsible of the preparation of the statutory Financial Statements under Franch Gaap
- Prepare the statement of Financial Positions, Profit and Loss, Other Comprehensive Income and cash flow statement and the notes to the financial statements
- Manage the Statutory audit and liaise with external auditors
- Manage and prepare unaudited financial statements for bi-annual bank covenants;
- Tax audits management (preparation, documentation, back up…)
- Prepare the tax reporting of the company for Group tax purposes, in cooperation with Tax manager
Requirements:
- Education: Business School or financial & accounting related degree
- Experience (functions, duration): Three – five years’ experience in a related environment or an audit firm
- Solid accounting knowledge
- Statutory accounting, tax requirements, audit process
- IT tools (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Powerpoint), ERP or SAGE
- Internal control framework
- French and English speaker
- Analytical skills and critical thinking
