Senior Data Architect – Freelance Contract – Central Paris, France

Initially until the 31st December 2024 
Hybrid working 3 days on site, 2 days remote
Must be able to speak fluent French and English

Essential: - At least 10 years in data including 4 years as a Data Architect. Agile methods. Good knowledge of the basic principles of data management, data flow processing, data modeling standards and the basics of machine learning, deep learning and the industrialization of data science architectures. Cloud (Azure, AWS). DevOps. Scripting languages (Python, Java...). SQL and NoSQL databases. ETL or ELT processes and tools. Microsoft Certified: Azure fundamentals.  AWS certified: Solution Architect Associate

The Senior Data Architect will be integrated into the Tech Authority which brings together around twenty people (Cybersecurity, Architects, etc.). The Senior Data Architect will provide reports directly to the CTO (Chief Technical Officer).  

The team evolves in an agile context at all levels of the organization, in iterative and co-constructive mode, relying on collective intelligence. Within the Tech Authority, the Senior Data Architect will participate in defining the technical governance of projects. He is also a support and guide for the Squads during the different phases of their projects.

The main mission of the Senior Data Architect service provider is to guarantee the application of best practices in data architecture.

The Senior Data Architect service provider must in particular:

•    Define the architecture in the framing phase.
•    Co-build this architecture with the Squads in the build phase. The service provider will mainly work with Data Engineers and Tech Leads. The service provider also validates the architecture when the
      need evolves. The service provider is required to make architectural decisions throughout the build phase.
•    Validate the models.
•    Perform periodic reviews with the Squad to study the code and its quality.
•    Review the architecture of the solution before transferring it to the business. 
•    The service provider will also have to provide monitoring and support.

What is expected from the Senior Data Architect:

•    Define best practices in terms of data architecture and ensure that they are respected by all Squads.
•    Keep informed of trends, technological developments and innovations in force in your area of intervention.
•    Coach the Squads in the different phases of carrying out their project with the Chapter Leads.
•    Unblock Squads if necessary when they encounter a problem with the data architectures in the AWS and Azure platforms.
•    Lead Tech communities on architecture through the Communities of Practices present at the Digital Factory.

Cross-functional contributions:

•    Participate in the design/maintenance of new tools/packages common to the organization.
•    Challenge the team’s vision.
•    Participate in CoPs (Communities of Practice).
