We are specialists in managing large projects from feasibility studies and conceptual engineering, through FEED and detailed engineering. Engineering is executing major projects across the globe in both oil and gas and renewables sectors. This includes Norway’s ground-breaking Brevik carbon capture project, as well as delivering engineering and design for Northern Lights, the world’s first CO₂ storage facility on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Furthermore, we are investigating the design and delivery of future hydrogen and ammonia projects.

As part of a strategic alliance, we are also working on a large digitalization project as part of the development of the Hugin oil and gas field offshore Norway, whilst pioneering new digital solutions to make operations safer and more efficient.

We are now looking for a Senior EIT Area Engineer who can strengthen our team. Our Electrical, Instrument and Telecom (EIT) department in Fornebu consists of 90 highly qualified professionals that are looking forward to discussing the technical topics and exciting challenges with you. They will be your sparring partners and support if you need guidance along the way. This team is working with oil and gas as well as renewables and low carbon projects. What will you be doing?
  • Carrying out 3D modelling (PDMS/E3D) and perform area design for the EIT disciplines
  • Reviewing vendor information for equipment package interface and implement it into area design
  • Following-up tie-in and hook-up activities affecting EIT disciplines
  • Ensuring implementation of statutory requirements, design basis, specifications, standards, internal work instructions and corporate requirements
  • Reporting progress to the discipline lead on activities and deliverables against the project schedule
  • Following-up verification activities to ensure quality in the discipline`s work
  • Developing relevant area engineering documents

We think you should have:
  • Preferably Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in engineering or similar field, but long relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with area design in an EPC environment, preferably from the oil and gas industry
  • Experience with teamwork, also with teams from different locations
  • Good knowledge of typical EIT equipment used in the oil and gas industry
  • Experience from PDMS/E3D or other similar applications/systems
  • Multidiscipline understanding of areas like piping, structure, instrument, telecom
  • Preferably having an experience or practice from shipyards or other installation companies
