Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the early design and feasibility studies of a new mine build project in Africa. This position requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, project management, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful planning and execution of mining operations. Experience with greenfield projects is essential.
Your role:
- Lead and manage the electrical engineering aspects of early design and feasibility studies for the new mine build project in Africa.
- Develop and evaluate electrical system designs, including power distribution, automation, and control systems.
- Conduct feasibility assessments, risk analyses, and cost estimations for electrical components of mining projects.
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and documentation related to electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 
- Previous experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on mining or heavy industrial projects.
- Proven track record of leading electrical engineering projects from conception through feasibility and design phases.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, automation, and control systems.
- Experience with greenfield projects is essential.
- Experience with project management, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound engineering decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
