Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 15,000 people in more than 20 countries.

Aker Solutions is now looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience from onshore or offshore projects.
The project is lead from Bergen.



Position Responsibilities:
  • System Engineering – Electrical engineering
  • Cable calculations
  • Preparation of requisitions and specifications for procurement of electrical packages and electrical equipment including vendor follow-up
  • Approval of supplier documentation and follow up delivery of equipment, 690/400V distributions boards, UPS systems, transformers, variable speed drives etc
  • Prepare documentation for onshore installation
  • Preparation of drawings, specifications, and data sheets
  • Prepare engineering work packages
  • Estimating of cost and weight in a multi discipline environment
  • Onshore/Offshore survey/FAT
  • Delivering results and meeting customer expectations

Skills and Levels Description:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar
  • Minimum 3 years experience engineer
  • Relevant experience from onshore industry or power networks
  • Relevant experience from onshore or offshore projects within oil and gas
  • Experience from High Voltage equipment and/or networks Experience with ATEX requirements and ATEX certified equipment
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, flexible, and organized, service minded, ability to work independently, teamworking skills.
  • Required Software Skills: TIME
  • Knowledge of NORSOK and Equinor’s TR standards
  • Fluent in a Scandinavian language and English – verbal and written
