As part of Woodside Energy Onshore Projects team, you will act as an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on the delivery of Brownfields projects on an initial 2 year contract.
  • Decarbonisation projects such as Pluto LNG Solar Import, including NWIS grid connection
  • Electrical refurbishment and upgrade projects covering all stages of the project lifecycle
 The Onshore Projects team delivers capital efficient projects across our onshore operating assets, including the Karratha Gas Plant (KGP), Pluto LNG Park (PLP), and King Bay Supply Base (KBSB).  The program includes opportunities and projects ranging in size and complexity, including the Karratha Life Extension portfolio, key integrity and reliability scopes, growth through additional third-party processing and projects at our Assets to support environmental emission reductions.
Opportunities are delivered in close collaboration through our Tier 1 Engineering, Procurement, and Implementation Contractors and managed out of our integrated Project office in Perth, Western Australia.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage Electrical technical integrity by ensuring the safe and consistent application of Company and regulatory codes, standards and good engineering practices;
  • Apply Construction Led Design principals in line with Construction Led Design Guideline;
  • Identify design requirements for projects and provide input to project scopes of work;
  • Guide engineering contractors to deliver the agreed scope of services;
  • Review electrical engineering deliverables and provide technical feedback;
  • Work with contractors to find fit-for-purpose solutions to problems;
  • Recommend appropriate assurance activities to manage the engineering risks associated with Contractors, suppliers and procurement of equipment;
  • Provide advice on technical integrity, including the use of standards and equipment specifications;
  • Review and Accept As built safety critical deliverables; and support Project Engineers to deliver Projects in a timely and cost effective manner;
 Skills & Experience:
  • Degree in an Electrical related Engineering discipline (Mandatory)
  • Minimum 10 years experience in an Engineering role
  • Strong written and communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Work within multi-disciplinary team
  • Prior knowledge or experience supporting onshore gas plants is desirable
If this is a Site / Asset based role, or will reasonably require more than 5 days in a row to be spent at an asset / site, candidates are expected to demonstrate the below in order to be considered:
  • Have completed and hold a valid Industry Safety Induction (Safer Together)
  • Be able to demonstrate 12 months O&G experience within the last 2 years, in order to be granted an 'experienced worker' exemption.
