NES Fircroft, in collaboration with a global pioneer in the mining sector, is actively seeking a seasoned and competent Senior Environmental Advisor.
This is a permanent, full-time role, located in North of Queensland. The position operates on a 9-day fortnight schedule, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
This position reports directly to the Superintendent- Environment and will be leading a large team of environmental professionals across one of the most diverse mining complexes in Australia. You will be responsible for all environmental and compliance aspects relating to the environmental authority, communicating with operational areas and key stakeholders, responsible for a budget and capital management and delivering projects to ensure environmental compliance.

About you:
- Environmental management experience preferably in the mining industry (5 years)
- Degree or higher in Environment Science, Agriculture or Natural Resource Management.
- High levels of communication and stakeholder engagement across a diverse group.
- Working knowledge of State and Federal Environmental Legislation and other applicable legislation including Australian Standards and experience in managing environmental authorities and approvals.
- Experience working in remote work environments.
- Experience in Supervision and mentoring of staff including contractor management
