Senior HPHT Drilling Engineer  
 
Contract period: ASAP - 1 year duration
Location: Stavanger

Main tasks:
  • Responsible for planning and design work for the well project drilling campaign
  • Perform drilling engineering services in the well project to accomplish the established objectives and plans
  • Part of Operations Team (OP Team) during Drilling Operation 
  • Collaborate with subsurface to finalise the drilling concepts and finalise the main drilling program
  • Key contributor for well cost, ensure delivering of drilling operation on time and budget
  • Core task to follow up: Well path design (Compass), Casing Design (WellCAT), Directional drilling and well-bore positioning equipment, Material technology, Down-hole understanding, Logging, Rock mechanics, Capping and containment, Pore pressure and well-bore stability, Well Integrity, Well incident and blowout preparedness, Well control equipment and systems, Kick tolerance software, Fluids, Cementing, Well-bore cleanup, Torque/drag/hydraulics (Well-plan) Risk management, Time and cost estimation (deterministic and probabilistic)
  • Support and advice on daily tasks for other Drilling Engineers and Supervisors in the team
  • Preparation of End of Well Reports, ensuring that best practices and lessons learned are captured, shared, documented, and followed up
  • Offshore travelling on request

Qualifications:
  • HPHT Production Wells W/high-angle background in Design, Planning and Execution
  • Good understanding of geology and subsea considerations
  • Experienced with Well Engineering software Oliasoft and other software’s like Qx and WellBarrier
  • Experienced with Semi-sub operations
  • NCS experience drilling Haltenbanken
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience
  • HPHT experience – Must have proven, extensive experience in HPHT, supported by references to relevant projects.
  • Team builder where co-operation and teamwork is essential 
  • Performance driven and commercial mind-set
  • Offshore experience 
  • Valid Offshore Safety course
  • Valid IWCF certificate
