Senior Instrument Engineer

Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions is looking for a Senior Instrument Engineer with experience in onshore or offshore projects. The project is based in Trondheim and will be led from there.


Position Responsibilities:

• General field instrument engineering.
• Act as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE).
• Coordinate with suppliers and review documents and drawings.
• Provide engineering inputs to job packages (EWP).
• As-built documentation of supplier drawings and review red line mark-ups received from offshore.
• Conduct estimation work and plan adjustments.
• Conduct offshore surveys.

 
Skills and Levels Description:

• Proficient in Norsok I-001 standards with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong background in supplier coordination, follow-up, and creating as-built documentation for tags and drawings.
• Holds an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Automation or a related field; relevant experience can compensate for a lack of formal education.
• Great communication skills in both Norwegian and English, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
• Offshore certification is required for this position.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with 3D model IT tools and experience in using Teams and related IT tools is a plus.
• Quality-oriented, structured, and proactive.
