To strengthen our team, Aker Solutions team in Fornebu is looking for a who can help us succeed. 
 
What will you be doing?  
 
You will be working as Senior Material Engineer together with other colleagues in the Hugin A project, your responsibility includes but not limited to the following:  
  • Materials technology activities project execution phase
  • Material selection
  • Corrosion protection
  • Evaluation of supplier bids
  • Input to engineering and equipment packages
  • Review of supplier documentation
  • Follow-up of suppliers with respect to material matters
  • Travels to suppliers around 30%

We think you should have some of the following: 
  • MSc in Material Science or other relevant engineering area
  • Minimum 10 years of versatile and extensive experience with material technology in the oil and gas industry and/or process industry
  • Experience from topside engineering is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of relevant international standards, client standards and NORSOK standards
  • Software Skills: MS Office programs
  • Good communication skills and a proactive work approach are required
  • Multidiscipline understanding
  • Flexibility to travel when needed
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written

Working location: Fornebu, Oslo (split location is acceptable)
Contract duration: Start as soon as possible with initial contract up to 31.Dec. 2024, with option for extension
