Aker Solutions’ Life Cycle segment focuses on execution of modifications & maintenance that improve operations and extends life span of energy facilities on- and offshore. The segment is also responsible for electrification projects on existing facilities as well as offshore maintenance for the renewables sector.

To strengthen our team, Aker Solutions in Stavanger is looking for a Senior Package Responsible Engineer - Rotating equipment who can help us succeed. 


What will you be doing? 
  • Obtain a general knowledge of the contract, and a detailed knowledge of the technical requirements and specifications for compressors
  • Communication with suppliers and clients
  • Coordination with other disciplines
  • Planning, execution and co-ordination of technical follow-up activities 
  • Execution and co-ordination of Supplier Documents and Drawings (SDD) approval
  • Execution and co-ordination of technical Change Control 
  • Execution of technical Close Out Activities and technical Supplier Performance Evaluation
  • Call for, arrange and chair technical Package Meetings
  • Establish Technical queries, Change Requests, Deviations and Non-Conformance Request

We think you should have some of the following:
  • Master, Bachelor, or other relevant technical education
  • Experience as package responsible engineer (PRE), including good understanding of NORSOK R-001 / R-002 and international standards and design codes related to the different equipment categories 
  • Experience within preparation of technical specifications, requisitions and technical assessment of supplier bids
  • Experience in Factory Acceptance Testing of mechanical equipment and packages 
  • Knowledge of mechanical packages such as mechanical rotating equipment - especially compressors 
  • It will be advantageous with experience as mechanical field engineer and also experience within other engineering disciplines, i.e. piping
  • The candidate should have interdisciplinary thinking and understanding, be an excellent team worker, proactive, extrovert and hands-on 
  • Available for work in Norway
  • Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English and a team player
