Location: To be determined - Options for UK or Europe locations to be considered.
Duration: 12 months renewable contract - Huge project, years worth of work
I am currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager for a leading chemical client of ours.
Job Description:
Working on world scale plant which will produce the key building blocks for carbon fibre, engineering polymers and synthetic lubricants.
In the pre-FEED phase, the focus is on establishing effective interfacing with stakeholders, developing the draft project execution plan and contracting strategy for FEED. The Senior Project Manager will build and develop the owners’ team supplemented with resources and the organisation of the PMC contractor
During the design and EPC phase, he/she will be responsible to deliver the project deliverables within the approved timeline and budget. In this phase of the program, the role will initially focus on the commercial qualification, selection and oversight on vendors for equipment and contractors for construction.
Job Requirements:
-Experience in major project management, preferentially with exposure to refining & petrochemicals in the Middle East.
-Capable to function as a key member of an international project team, leading a project team
-Sound decision taking recognising the project priorities and constraints (HSE, operability, cost and schedule).
-Experience in owners team.
-Flexible to move with the project.
