An innovative large-scale renewable energy storage project near Manchester is seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a 12-month contract basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project's costs, contracts, and financial risks, ensuring that the project is delivered within budget and meets contractual obligations.

Responsibilities:
•             Prepare cost plans, estimates, and budgets, monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction process
•             Review and negotiate contracts, including tender documents, variations, and claims, ensuring that contractual obligations are met and risks are minimized
•             Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and other team members to ensure the successful integration of energy storage technologies and the alignment of project objectives
•             Prepare and submit financial reports, forecasts, and progress updates, providing recommendations for cost savings and risk mitigation
•             Provide guidance and support to junior quantity surveyors, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
•             Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices

Requirements:
•             Degree (or similar) in Quantity Surveying or related field, with a valid RICS or equivalent professional qualification
•             Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure sector
•             Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management principles, and regulatory requirements
•             Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
•             Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
•             Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to the evolving needs of the renewable energy industry
