Laerdal Global Health is a not-for-profit sister company of Laerdal Medical A/S, with headquarters in Stavanger, Norway. Our vision is that no one should die or be disabled unnecessarily during birth. Our overall strategic goal is helping save an additional 550,000 lives at birth per year by 2030 by utilization of our Helping Mothers & Babies Survive (HMBS) training portfolio.
Working within strong international alliances for global health and innovation, we aim to develop and make solutions available that will help save hundreds of thousands of newborns and mothers every year
About the role
We are looking for an exceptional UX designer that would like to make a global impact serving our mission to “help saving lives”. You will participate in an ever-evolving customer solution that will be the front-facing dashboard for all our customers. You will work in a cross-disciplinary team across the globe and have a solid, award-winning design group for support. We are continuously evolving, and as we believe in diversity and inclusion to drive better decision making, we encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
Some of what you will be doing
- As a UX designer you will coordinate the collaboration and alignment with other designers involved in the project, and oversee the work while participating in design and development work
- Collaborate with the Product Manager and Technical Lead to ensure feasibility, viability, and desirability
- Collaborate with the Product Manager, Technical Lead and Project Manager to define the scope and set priorities for the team
- Coordinate collaboration with other Laerdal teams to ensure a great user experience of the overall solution
- Share user insights with the team
- Use visualizations and prototypes techniques to communicate the user experience and identify areas for improvement
- Be a design facilitator in the team
Who we envision would fit the role
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in designing solutions with touchpoints across physical, digital and services
- Proven experience in involving the user throughout the design process
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-disciplinary teams
- Preferable but not mandatory: bachelor's or master's degree within UX or interaction design, or another relevant design discipline
