NES Fircroft is partnering with an Australian majority-owned subsidiary power generation technologies organisation. Bringing to life an array of portfolio of projects ensuring sustainable sources of energy, developing rural communities, expanding state-of-the-art renewable technologies, and facilitating to prevent weather changes resulting by greenhouse gas emissions. We are looking for a full-time permanent Site Manager to join their team in Crookwell.

$140,000 - $160,000 + Super.

This position reports to the Regional Manager.

*Full Australian working-rights is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring the day-to-day operations in asset performance, community engagement, contract management, environmental and safety compliance, cost, and budget requirements.  
  • Working closely with the company’s control room located in Canberra.
  • Liaising weekly with the control room to update on plant outages, upcoming maintenance, and asset optimisation.
  • Using and keep up to date all systems and tools to track and report on all incidents and non-compliance.
  • Assisting in acquiring and maintaining ISO certifications.
  • Ensuring all contractors utilise onsite are appropriately onboarded as well as any local site requirements.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Site Manager or similar. Preferably experience in renewable energy generation or similar industry.  
  • Substantial knowledge of the practices, functions, and processes required to operate generation assets.
  • Knowledge for the legislation typically associated with the operation of Generation Plants in Australia.
  • Understanding of the operation of the Australian energy market
  • Experience in power generation or high voltage industry preferred.
  • Contractor management
  • Understanding of compliance and the requirements to maintain.
  • Delivering operational performance targets
  • A trade background and experience in construction and/or operations.
  • Relevant qualification in utilities industries.
  • Strong programming, budgeting, people/contractor management, and communication skills.

Specific Training:
  • Maintain C class driver’s license.
  • GWO Basic
  • Certificate IV WHS
  • Certificate IV Leadership and Management
