Role description: 

This position will be responsible for the operations, maintenance, and repair of solar equipment systems. As well as performing corrective, preventive and predictive activities to ensure maximum availability. 

Multiple roles available in different areas of NSW: Finley, New England and Corowa. 

Duties and responsibilities include: 
  • Troubleshooting complicated mechanical and electrical problems on power inverters. 
  • Perform all mechanical and electrical components testing, maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions. 
  • Help in all areas of site operations as directed by manager with minimal supervision. 
  • Follow safety instructions, conduct field work in compliance with applicable regulations and encourage good employee safety practices 
  • Conducts training lessons as needed to enhance other employee’s technical knowledge. 
  • Able to work up to 60 hours per week if needed to meet project schedules.  
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology 
  • Electricial License 
  • 2+ years as an Industrial Electrical, Electronics or Electromechanical Technician
  • Solar Plants Technician Degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean record 
  • OSHAS, First Aid and CPR.
  • Ability to train other employees in operation and maintenance procedures. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Be fit and able to perform labour duties when required
