Job Title: Sr. Data Visualization and Analytics Advisor
Location:  Calgary, AB
Length: 12-Month contract to start
Rotation: Mon-Fri 8hrs per day

Description:
The Sr. Data Visualization and Analytics Advisor develops monthly manufacturing scorecards and supports teams using Power BI for data visualization. This role involves creating comprehensive reports on safety and operational performance, streamlining data processes, and automating where possible. The advisor will work with various stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and effective reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and dataflows.
  • Implement data modeling, integration, and visualization best practices.
  • Optimize performance of reports and data refresh times.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and adjust reports as needed.
  • Analyze data, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Provide technical support and training for Power BI users.
  • Develop and deploy Power BI scripts and data visualizations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience with Power BI, focusing on data modeling, visualization, and report development.
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure (Databricks).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with R, Python, or VBA scripting.
  • Experience in creating mobile dashboards and executive reports.
  • Proficient in MS Office and intermediate knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing or relevant industry.
  • Project management certification.
  • Knowledge of process safety in high hazard environments.
