Job Title: Contract Senior Fundamentals Analyst
Location: Calgary, AB
Schedule: M-F 8 hrs/day
Contract length: 12 months (Oct 9, 2023 – Oct 8, 2024)
Anticipated Start date: Oct 9, 2023
Description:
Reporting to the Manager of Market Fundamentals, the Fundamental Analyst is accountable for developing short and long-term market analysis to identify risks and opportunities in support of corporate decision making. The successful candidate will support modeling of long-term supply/demand across core company markets, including Natural Gas/NGL/Condensate/Crude/Refining.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Building and maintaining North America and Global supply and demand balance models and analysis
• Developing of long-term market fundamental view and the assessment of price implication
• Closely monitor government policies and understand potential impacts through data driven scenario analysis
• Generate memos and presentations to senior management consistent with market trends and outlooks
• Support corporate teams with market research to support decision making
Deliverables:
• Building and maintaining North America and Global supply and demand balance models and analysis

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Strong project management skills with the track record managing analytics projects
Qualifications:
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Post-Secondary degree in a numeric field (Statistics, Finance, Economics/Econometrics, Computer Science, Geo-Physics, or Engineering)
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Can work independently and lead projects with minimal support and coaching
• Strong project management skills with the track record managing complex analytics projects
• Mindset focused on creativity, innovation and problem-solving in a constantly changing market environment
