To strengthen our team, Aker Solutions in Kristiansand is looking for a Structural Field Engineer who can help us succeed.


What will you be doing? 

You will be working as Structural Field Engineer together with other colleagues in the Valhall project, your responsibility includes but not limited to the following:

  • Assist the production with solving of the technical problems which could occur during the execution of building- or installation work at a construction site

  • Assist the production with interpretation of drawings and job basis

  • Prepare work basis and documentation for technical solutions in cooperation with the shop engineering

  • Establish TC (Technical Clarification) in MIPS

  • Check location and installation are construction and HSSE friendly

  • Close communication with work leader method, shop engineering, PRE etc.  and close co-ordination with production


We think you should have some of the following:

 
  • BSc or Master in relevant field with 3 years structural experience. . Lack of education can be compensated with relevant work experience.

  • Theoretical knowledge and understanding of structures

  • Knowledge of how to use 3D and 2D-CAD programs like E3D, Auto CAD or similar, and technical register like MIPS

  • Knowledge to applicable project documents, standards and code

  • Multi-discipline understanding

  • Available to work in Oslo

  • Fluent in English (written and oral)


Working location: Kristiansand
Contract duration: 2 years contract with option for extension
