Superintendent Equipment Readiness - Fleet and Autonomy

NES Fircroft are working with a Tier 1 Miner to source a variety of roles in their Fleet and Autonomy Team.  We are searching for a Superintendent Equipment Readiness to assist in the development and delivery of Equipment Readiness scope and deliverables.  The role will initially be based in Perth on a Monday to Friday basis but will go FIFO in Q2 2024.  The contract will be a minimum 24 month term but will be ongoing thereafter.

The Superintendent Equipment Readiness will achieve project success using approved business objectives within the constraints of scope, time, quality, safety and budget. Highly motivated, with a can-do attitude and successful delivery record, the incumbent will operate effectively within functional matrix organisational structure. A team player, the Superintendent Equipment Readiness will use their influencing and stakeholder engagement skills to build a high performing team and consistently deliver to their customer’s expectations.

In this role you will:

• Develop project strategies to deliver health, safety and business objectives.
• Drive implementation of project delivery plans, methodologies, systems and execution plans, including risk and quality management plans.
• Form and lead teams of project, construction and implementation specialists to deliver project outcomes safely, on schedule and on budget.
• Drive value driven decision making to ensure the project KPI’s are realised.
• Proactively manage external relationships whilst contract awarding, purchasing and/and technical evaluation of bidders.
• Implement positive communication processes to support project and operational outcomes.
• Maintain strong and transparent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.

About you:

• Project Management experience, preferably via development or delivery of complex, multi-discipline projects. Experience with mobile mining equipment would be considered preferable.
• Demonstrated roles where you have been accountable for direct people leadership.
• Advanced ‘Safety Leadership’ expertise with proven commitment to safety and sustainability.
• Leading by example; fortitude to hold yourself and others accountable.
• Mature negotiation, mentoring and coaching skills that support a high performing team built on a learning mind-set.
• Experience of managing mobile equipment maintenance teams, ideally in an autonomous haulage setting.

To be considered, you will also need the following:

• Ideally Perth based but interstate applicants will be considered.
• Have full Australian Working Rights.
• Have a C Class Driver's licence.
• Be able to pass a medical, drug and alcohol test.
• Have a recent National Police Clearance.
• Be able to provide two recent referees.
