Job Title: TA Coordinator and TA Superintendent – hiring for multiple roles  
Location: Redwater, AB
Start Date: ASAP
Position Summary:
Support the TA Area Superintendent during detailed planning, Squad Checking, and schedule development for each Turnaround Work Package (TWP) in their Area.
Provide day-to-day support to Turnaround Contractors.
Conduct routine field visits to ensure contractor personnel are working in compliance with appropriate health and safety rules.
Conduct routine field visits to determine if the work is proceeding efficiently and making recommendations to contractor supervision as required.
Consult with the TA Area Superintendent to identify the schedule impacts
Ensure issues and problems identified by the coordinators are investigated and resolved or elevated to the TA Area Superintendent, TA Event Manager as required.
Integrate with TA Project Coordinators for execution of MOC work in their Area.
Work with other leads and coordinators reporting to TA Area Superintendent to ensure the scheduled completion of work.
Coordinate specialized tasks as required to ensure they are completed as scheduled.

Oversees turnaround contractors’ field supervision to ensure timely mitigations are implemented as issues arise.
Work with other leads, coordinators and execution support lead to ensure efficient utilization of shared resources.
Understands the standards and procedures for safety, quality, scheduling, cost and work execution and communicates them effectively at the field level.
Support the Squad Check process for each Turnaround Work Package (TWP) in their Area to incorporate the feedback from contractors and other stakeholders and ensure fitness for execution.
Ensure the Found Work (SCR) process is understood and adhered to.
Support the development of job plans for all work list items by ensuring all resources are established with adequate lead time to properly prepare for each event.
Work on contractor awareness of the event safety plan, site SWS, quality standards and activities during the event execution, including pre-event, and post event activities.
Support the breakdown structures and process for safety, quality, cost and schedule to support event delivery objectives/targets.
Attends meetings to verify work execution, safety, quality, schedule.
Ensures that equipment history, documentation, records and procedures are updated following each event, supports for the final event closure reports, supports the Lessons Learned process
Other duties as assigned.
  • 10 years of experience leading turnaround/shutdown events.
  • Strong experience in turnaround/shutdown strategy and management best practices.
  • Journeyman Tradesperson
  • Previous experience with contract management, job planning and field coordination, including problem solving and driving schedules, demonstrated ability to meet schedules while working with mechanical contractors.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and facilitation skills; ability to communicate technical information and articulate the plan to non-technical staff, technical staff and management, including executives
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities, strong coaching ability.
