Technical Safety & Work Environment Engineer

- Responsible for providing technical support within the disciplines for EPC deliverables. This includes being familiar with relevant rules, regulations and standards applicable for the discipline and also familiarize with relevant documentation from previous project phases and other Knarr specific documentation.
- Ensure that relevant activities within the discipline are within the company framework and in conformance with contract requirements, Project Execution Plan, and relevant laws and regulations. The health and safety of personnel, natural and working environment and equipment shall be taken care of.  
- Review documentation according to Document Distribution Matrix
- Collaborate with the client for design solutions and verifications
- Participate in discipline checks, design reviews, WERA and other WE/HF studies and workshops.
- Follow up contractors and vendors regarding noise limits to new equipment
- Follow up contractors and report to the Tech Safety and WE lead any delay in progressing the engineering deliverables for the project scope within responsibility
- Participate in BID evaluation for equipment and FAT/noise tests if applicable
- Contribute to experience transfer within the company.
- Actively take part in improvement of work procedures in order to optimize work processes.

Qualifications and Experience
- Technical education on bachelor level or higher
- Strong understanding and working experience in areas such as acoustics, ergonomics, Human Factors, Chemical Health Risk Assessment and COSHH evaluations, working environment risk assessments and analysis
- Strong understanding and working experience in areas such as QRA,Fire & Explosion Study, Hydraulic analysis, Process safety, Functional safety, PFP, RAM analysis and UK safety case etc.
- Familiarity with UK rules & regulations is strongly desired and relevant experience of UK North Sea project execution is an advantage
- Familiarity with UK rules & regulations is strongly desired and relevant experience of UK North Sea project execution is an advantage
- Familiar with NORSOK-S002 requirements
- Knowledge of Client specific requirements and processes for project execution is an advantage
- Recent relevant experience in middle east / southeast Asian shipyards is an advantage
- Recent experience of working on modification projects and / or FPSO redeployment is strongly desired.
- English language - fluent written and oral skills
