Aker Solutions in Oslo are now looking for Technical Safety Engineers to strengthen their team.

 

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Take responsibility for design, specification, detail engineering, reporting and other technical safety-related engineering activities in studies and projects
  • Ensure development of functional design solutions, safety systems and barriers according to relevant regulations and design standards
  • Perform technical safety analysis and assessments
  • Establish, verify and update documentation and drawings
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines internally and with clients
  • Contribute to or lead risk, safety and design reviews
 

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant engineering field
  • At least 5 years’ work experience as a Technical Safety engineer within relevant industries like oil & gas/energy, marine etc.
  • Broad competence within technical safety analysis, assessment and reporting
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant Norwegian & international regulations and standards
  • Candidates with experience of Working Environment and/or Natural Environment engineering are especially encouraged to apply
  • Solution-oriented with good communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
