Location: Papua New Guinea (FIFO)

About Us:
In close collaboration with a leading tier 1 mining operator dedicated to excellence and sustainability across all operations, we are in search of a skilled Technical Writer to join our team on a FIFO basis for a 12-month contract in Papua New Guinea.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed work method scopes to ensure safe and effective execution of mechanical maintenance activities in a large, fixed plant process mining environment.
- Conduct QA/QC and Safety reviews of technical documentation, ensuring compliance with HSE requirements and business policies.
- Scope, create, review, refine, and develop effective documents/PRTs for all existing and new tactics, improving safety and efficiency in executing planned maintenance activities.
- Develop detailed work instructions, ensuring accuracy in task details, resources, and process steps.
- Collaborate with Reliability Engineers, area maintenance, and ops personnel to ascertain requirements for all documentation developed.
- Utilize CDMS systems in developing new documents and provide technical input in maintenance activities.
- Continuously look for areas of improvement in document development, review, and tracking processes.

Requirements:
- Trades Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance, or similar.
- Mining or similar heavy engineering/construction experience.
- Post-trade/tertiary qualifications in maintenance management.
- Proficiency in CDMS/SAP software and job scoping/shutdown maintenance execution.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety and environmental standards, as well as business policies.
- Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
- Field scoping experience and broad knowledge of fixed plant assets in a gold mining environment.
- Significant experience in technical writing and document management for maintenance execution.
