We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 15,000 people in more than 20 countries.
Aker Solutions is now looking for a Telecom Engineer with experience from onshore or offshore projects. The project is lead from Bergen.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform all needed activities related to global and detail design phase within Telecom as discipline engineer.
  • Create work package within Telecom as discipline engineer.
  • Doing follow-on and As-built activities within Telcom as discipline engineer.
  • Act as deputy Discipline Lead within Telecom when needed.
  • Prepare and update engineering documents, drawings and registers.
  • Create job cards and work descriptions.
  • Perform offshore surveys.
  • Estimation and plan activities.
  • Coordination of suppliers, follow up procurement packages.
Skills and Levels Description:
  • Minimum 2-year experienced engineer.
  • Relevant experience and broad knowledge of deliverables within Telecommunications for the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and Equinor's technical requirements in addition to NORSOK standards.
  • Bachelor/Master of science or technical college + certificate of apprenticeship.
  • Offshore certificate is required.
  • Network design skills, including fiber optic and network cabling.
  • Installation experience.
  • Accurate, organized and service minded.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Understand and follow activity schedules.
  • Being able to take initiative, be flexible and motivate others.
  • Software Skills: TIME and MIPS.
  • Good knowledge of English, both verbally and written language.
