As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Telecom Package Responsible Engineer with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.
What will you be doing?
  • Ensure quality and completeness of telecom packages.
  • Review, comment on, and approve supplier documentation.
  • Manage changes to scope and specifications with suppliers.
  • Ensure equipment requirements are understood and implemented.
  • Provide input to PRB regarding package schedule and cost.
  • Perform other tasks as follows.
Qualifications we think you should have:
  • Fluency in both Norwegian and English, both verbal and written.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of offshore Telecom system engineering experience.
  • Proficient in telecommunication systems such as PAGA, PBX, data, GMDSS, fiber optic, power supply, personnel registration, UHF Tetra, and personnel registration.
  • Experienced in telecom package preparation, handling, and follow-up.
  • Proficiency in Time, MIPS, Procosys, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and HSSE mindset.
  • Demonstrates a hands-on attitude and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
