Project Description and responsibilities:

As a Project Manager Trade Compliance at client reporting the Global Head of Trade Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in managing trade compliance -related projects with a focus on compliance, efficiency, and optimisation. You will utilise your in-depth knowledge of customs regulations and processes to ensure seamless operations across borders. Additionally, your strong leadership and management skills will be essential in driving project success and fostering collaboration across diverse teams.

Primary Tasks and responsibilities
• Ensuring that the assigned trade compliance and customs projects delivery is made according to the schedule, budget, scope and quality.
• Define time line and milestones of projects assigned.
• Managing the risks and issues related to the delivery.
• Clarifying high-level scope and the technical synergies between the different sub-projects.
• Ensuring the compliance to standards and best practices across all projects.
• Be proactive in proposing technical solutions and innovations.
• Reporting progress, issues, risks etc. to the customer and to the program manager.

Secondary Tasks and responsibilities
• Ensure close collaboration with the P&T teams
• Develop and implement a governance structure/model to ensure a culture of continuous improvements and innovations throughout the whole network
• Improve customer satisfaction (key users / stakeholders), being essential to build trust and bring the organisation efficiency and sustainability to the next level

Technical Profile requirements
• Min 5yrs experience in a role leading projects within trade compliance/ customs domain
• Very strong knowledge & experience within customs and trade compliance departments in a multinational
• Strong experience dealing with the following topics :
 - Product classification, (non-)preferential origins/ tariffs, FTOs valuation and customs procedure
 - Special procedures (such as inward/outward processing relief and bonded warehouse)
 - AEO certification, approved exporter, bonded warehouse procedures
 - Follow-up on recommendations from audits
 - Excellent command in Microsoft office skills (PowerPoint Excel, …)
 - EU Customs regulations and procedures
 - Experience with CAM/pCAM is a plus
