Transport Supervision Servces
A. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY. (Required)
The Transport Supervisor is our clients Transport & Installation representative in MA. He/she is responsible to monitor unloading of arriving vessels and associated documentation.
He/she coordinates and tie all operational gaps with all relevant interfaces (Our Clients engineering, Supplier, stevedores, ship & ship’s agent, marine surveyor, and others).
He/she ensure smooth and efficient communication with all stakeholders on site (HUB Team, Client, contractors…)
Lot of presence on-site required the Transport Supervisor will preferably be located within reasonable distance of New Bedford Marine Commercial Terminal.
B. SERVICES. (Required) Supplier shall perform the following Services under this SOW:
Item Services Task – Name and Description (detail each Services task in a single box) B1 Supervise removing of sea fastening and check cargo condition. B2 Supervise unloading from cargo hatches to quayside. B3 Supervise unhooking of cargo. B4 Ensures smooth communication between all relevant parties during vessel operations (Our Clients T&I, Port Authorities, Ship, ship’s Agent, marine warranty surveyor and any others) B5 Liaise with marine warranty surveyor. B6 Monitor documentation (MS, import clearance…). B7 Load spreading equipment and transportation means coordination with logistics hub team for smooth unloading B8 Participate to the daily coordination of activities with HUB team B9 Ensure good handover with the HUB team with visual inspection sheet signed off by both parties using IAuditor B10 Ensure the inspection through IAuditor of each incoming component at the handover with HUB B11 Ensure incident report through IAuditor done during transportation scope with all details. B12 Ensure 0 deviations in cost, planning and contractual aspects. Reports to GE if any. B13 Follow up of the contractual aspects of the project with the supplier(s) and with people on site. B14 Optimize Standard logistics costs and quality. B15 Comply with EHS policy. B16 Participate in the deployment and compliance with legal requirements and internal EHS B17 Ensure GE EHS compliance for contractors & promote EHS during operation. B18 Ensure Toolbox talk are performed and are properly recorded (IAuditor) B19 Active participation in the development of courses and proposals for improvement to avoid incidents and accidents. B20 Educate and train in work procedures / instructions concerning them safe for their duties. B21 Carry out work according to the rules and procedures, avoiding any acts or omissions at work that might pose a danger or risk to its integrity or the people around them. B22 Cooperate in combating any emergency that arises. B23 Assume the basic principle that should do the work in the safest possible way for which it is necessary and priority setting the tone of this behavior. B24 Take care of work equipment: machines, tools, facilities, etc they handle, ensuring the proper state, keeping in order and cleanliness their workplace
C. DELIVERABLES. (Required)
Supplier shall provide the following Deliverables under this SOW: Item Deliverables – Name and Description (detail each Deliverable in a single box) C1 Liaise with Hub Logistics Coordinator and MassCEC to update ETA vessels schedule. C2 Maintain execution planning updated with Planning department and Project Management with regards of Lead Transport proposal. C3 Monitor tool/transportation frames reverse logistics with the dept. in charge and follow up of custom status and traceability. C4 Organize follow up meetings with all people involved C5 Identification of risks that affect their area or field of work and define / propose means of prevention and adequate protection to prevent them C6 Wear personal protective equipment required for individual and groups performing the work safely, checking that they are in perfect condition and ensuring the proper condition of the goods. C7 Immediately report failures, deficiencies, or any situation detected and that may pose a risk to people and anything that might involve some uncontrolled risk. C8 Report any accident or incident is detected, helping as needed in the subsequent investigation of it.
F. PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE / TERM OF SOW. (Required)
This SOW shall commence on the SOW Effective Date and, unless sooner terminated under the Agreement terms, shall remain in effect for 12 months.
Any extension of the contract will be notified by our client in writing.
N. LOCATION. (Required) Supplier shall perform the Services at the following location or locations:
