Job Title: Travel Analyst
Location:  Calgary, AB
Length: Contracted until end of the year to start
Rotation: Mon-Fri, 8hrs a day

The Air & Ground Transportation Department is looking for a Contract Travel Analyst. Overall responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of travel (charter air & bus reservations) to our field locations, managing scheduled and ad-hoc corporate aircraft and helicopters. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the need to be agile in a dynamic team environment.
We are looking for a candidate who is a strong team player, provides a high level of customer service to internal/external clients and partners and is technology driven.

  • Manage and book travel on scheduled corporate flights and busing to our site locations, including booking ad-hoc charters and helicopters using an automated travel booking system.
  • Monitor and track aircraft utilization and workforce growth and/or reduction in order to optimize the use of the clients owned corporate aircraft fleet and create flight schedules.
  • Arrange all travel and onsite logistics for site tours to our field locations.
  • Support validation and record all aircraft and helicopter costs and coding to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Support and manage multiple email boxes and customer calls.
  • Help support IROP (irregular operations) for scheduled corporate flights, working with the vendor to look for solutions and communicate to passengers.
  • Understanding budgeting, cost control, SAP system including invoicing and reporting an asset.
  • Ensure adherence to the Travel Standard and support the overall Air & Ground Transportation Strategy.
  • Ensure compliance by monitoring the use of preferred suppliers including approved air charter and helicopter companies, commercial airlines, hotel & ground transportation providers.
  • Follow internal processes and identify and implement process improvements.

  • Post-secondary diploma in travel or related field is an asset.
  • Advanced Excel and Word skills including experience with database systems.
  • Organized and keen attention to detail which includes the ability to maintain a large volume of information accurately, in a format which can be adjusted to meet changing reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment which includes but not limited to flight schedule change and managing a large volume of emails, calls on a daily basis.
  • Knowledge of INNFinity (Enroute), Concur (Online Booking Tool), or Logistics and/or Reservations booking system is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven success at building constructive working relationships with internal and external clients and vendors.
  • Power BI and dashboard reporting experience is an asset.
  • Aviation and Transportation expertise; knowledge of Aviation and Transportation regulations.
  • Planning and forecasting skills necessary to efficiently optimize flight and bus schedules.
  • Understanding budgeting, cost control, SAP system including invoicing and reporting an asset.
  • Ability to manage confidential information professionally and with discretion.
