Turnover Package/ TOP Engineer/ Handover Engineer

NES Fircroft are working with a global player in the power sector across multiple locations in Ireland. We are seeking Turnover Package/ TOP Engineers/ Handover Engineers on major power station projects.

Working Role:                  Turnover Package/ TOP Engineer 

The Turnover Package (TOP) ensures planning, preparation and coordinates the TOP process from installation to commissioning for mechanical and electrical equipment (incl. cabling) on Gas Turbine and  Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP). 
 
Essential Responsibilities 

• Managing the turnover process between Mechanical and Electrical Installation and Commissioning on site for internal hand over of systems and subsystems from Installation to Commissioning. 
• Reviews the complete TOP documentation provided by back office group and makes updates or corrections to the before mentioned documentation according to the commissioning needs on site. 
• Implements a TOP progress control tool and updates this on a weekly base. 
• Informs the PTW Engineer about each package turned over to commissioning 
• Reviews periodically the schedule of the system TOPs together with the Commissioning Manager, the Installation Manager and the site planner. Provides periodically information to keep the schedules updated. 

• Checks together with the Commissioning Lead Engineers early in advance the completeness of each package in the field before each turnover. 
• Verify the correct completion of all punch items with construction, subcontractors, vendor, licensor quality and commissioning group. 
• Makes invitations to turnover walk downs to all involved parties.  
• Ensure that MTA tool (if applicable) is proper maintained and updated according to the TOP progress 
• Ensures that for each TOP, the necessary quality documentation from Installation is complete and prepares the TOP certificates and ensures that all involved parties have signed after the turnover. 

• Compiles individual punch-lists for each TOP and passes each of them to the QA Mgr/Dept. for implementation in the Master Punch-list. 
• Follows-up the closure of the remaining punch items with the Installation team leaders. 
• Informs the Commissioning Manager at an early stage about TOPs, where it is obvious, that the planned TOP date can’t be kept. 
• Reports TOP related progress and compliance issues to the Commissioning Manager, Site Manager. 
• Feedback any lessons learned of TOP process and report to back office. 

• Acts as a communication interface between Installation and Commissioning in regards to TOP issues. This requires regular contact with the Overall Construction Manager, Installation Supervisors, Commissioning Manager and Commissioning Lead Engineers. 

 
Qualifications/Requirements 

• Experience of the end of Installation and Turn Over to commissioning process for mechanical and electrical equipment (incl. cabling) on Gas Turbine and  Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP). 
• Strong analytic and problem-solving capability. 

• Fluent in spoken and written English. 
• An engineering degree from an accredited university. 
• International Driving License
