UFR Pipeline Lead Engineer
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months
Location: Paris then at the contractor's main office
Status: Residential
ACTIVITIES:
- Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior regarding H3SE policies and procedures, implementing H3SE rules and requirements within the relevant area of responsibility and complying with H3SE training requirements.
- Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior regarding Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and promote the re-enforcement of the Anti-Corruption Program. During the Service execution, the Service holder will need to ensure that:
• Be informed of UFR-related Company Rules and Specifications (CR’s/GS’s), international norms, and standards, extracting all the applicable requirements for the UFR package.
• Identify, implement, and manage any study or survey that would be requested for pipeline engineering, construction, fabrication, testing, installation...
• Define, develop, issue, and maintain all necessary technical documentation related to the UFR package. Support and participate also to the development and maintenance of Project Management main documents (SOR, FDP, PEP, PQP, Risks, etc.) for pipelines and its appendices matters.
• Ensure that all engineering, fabrication, construction, testing, qualification pre-commissioning, and commissioning aspects are suitably addressed during the different engineering phases by timely reviewing (or having reviewed) and validating the relevant UFR documentation issued by Contractor(s) (technical documentation/queries / derogation requests).
• Ensure that HSE&Q issues are correctly handled in all UFR technical documentation. Raise subsequent comments, highlight deviations, unacceptable or unjustified design choices that could affect UFR equipment during fabrication, installation, and production ...
• Act, as technical referent vis-à-vis Contractor(s), and coordinate all the pipeline activities of the by informing, supporting, and directing personnel in their roles, responsibilities, and objectives.
• Anticipate the responsibility for the right supervision and control of the fabrication and testing of all pipeline equipment spread over several fabrication yards, ensuring that QA/QC and H3SE project policies and requirements are duly implemented, and controlling Contractors’ achievements following contractual requirements in all areas.
• Liaise with the other Package teams (FPSO, SPS, etc.) for Interface matters with the support of the Interface Manager / Leader(s).
• Anticipate the supervision and control of:
o the follow-up of testing and qualification activities (SWT, CDT, FAT, EFAT, SIT, etc) performed by Contractor(s)
o the pre-commissioning, the commissioning of all UFR equipment, and the whole preparation of the offshore installation, including the hand-over of such equipment to other package or Contractor(s) for installation
• Participate in project reviews as requested by referential (PR, DER, CSPP...).
• Ensure safe working practices are used within the team during all phases of the project.
• Ensure adequate and timely reporting to the UFR Manager, consolidation reports, concerns, and issues.
• Assist, as requested, the UFR Manager with the relations with Concessionaire / Partners regarding UFR technical matters, prepare and participate, as required, in Workshops / Committee meetings with Partners and Concessionaire.
• Ensure confidentiality of all the UFR documentation produced (whatever its support)
• Gather ‘lessons learnt’ and provide feedback to other client entities as required and participate in GPI / Project close-out activities/report.
Under the responsibility of the GPI UFR manager, the Service holder shall, in the performance of his UFR engineering management responsibilities contribute to:
o Ensure that the UFR package will be fit for purpose, operable, maintainable, and reliable in line with GPI / Project objectives (Statement of Requirements, UFR technical referential, H3SE rules, budget and schedule)
o Maximize the NPV value of the future project by finding means to increase quality and productivity and/or decrease investments thanks to the best technical definition of the Umbilicals, Flowlines, Risers and its associated installation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Have a master’s degree in engineering, or equivalent
- Have a strong tropism for Project
- Have at least 15 to 20 years of experience in studies and execution phases of large offshore oil & gas projects, especially linked to UFR engineering, construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Have strong skills in deepwater and High temperature and high-pressure developments.
- Work with a strong team spirit, manage skillfully and efficiently the relationships with the GPI team and external teams.
- Get the spirit of synthesis, and skills for solving technical issues.
- Have a permanent concern for cost optimization on the GPI / Project activities
- Be attentive to the GPI / Project needs and contribute to its process improvement.
- Be autonomous, proactive, and energetic
- Fluent in English
- Professional Experience: 15 years minimum
- Experience within project/s: 10 years minimum
