Warehouse Officer (12-Month Contract) - Oil & Gas

Location: Moomba
Contract Duration: 12 months initial contract (view to extend)
Work Hours: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $50 per hour + super (option overtime on weekdays and weekends)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operator to join our client, based in Moomba, South Australian, on a 12-month contract. The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient storage and distribution of goods, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $50, with additional overtime opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments. Track and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy and availability.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications and company standards.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and quality issues. Report discrepancies and resolve issues as necessary.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and report any hazards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipments, and other relevant data. Prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals and improve warehouse processes.
  • Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and organized. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
  • Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus, but training will be provided if needed.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Personal Traits: Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Additional Information:
  • Contract Type: 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Overtime opportunities are available during the week and weekends as needed.
  • Location: Moomba, flights and accomodation provided by client
