The ConocoPhillips Norsea Terminal, located in Teesside at the mouth of the river Tees, is a crude oil reception, processing, storage and trans-shipment installation. The terminal also fractionates natural gas liquids into ethane, propane and butane.

The job opportunity
The Norsea Terminal is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative (contract position) – Start date: ASAP.
The position will be a contract role working for Fircroft for up to 24 months.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the candidate will be responsible for administering the site main warehouse and ancillary stores in a safe and efficient manner, warehouse stock and facilitate a customer orientated warehousing and goods issuing service.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role
- Goods receipting and checking of all incoming deliveries to the warehouse
- Issuing of goods from inventory via reservations
- Dispatch goods for repair/calibration/service
- Organise allocation of stock items to bins and racks. Place goods requiring inspection into quarantine area and contact inspector
- Report and assist enquiries into stock discrepancies
- Make enquiries to suppliers regarding incorrect receipts and progress outstanding orders
- Scan delivery notes into SAP
- Utilise forklift truck to offload/move palletised stock
- Carry out procedure for replenishment of site fuels
- Waste disposal in accordance with site environmental procedure
- Carry out annual stocktaking cycle
- Follows procedures to safely handle hazardous materials
- Use of appropriate materials handling equipment for the task and adhere to manual handling techniques
- Responsible for the issuing of clothing via completed clothing form. Sending garments away for barcoding and embroidery.
- Ensuring garments are sent away for weekly washing.
- Point of contact for all enquiries from visitors/customers relating to stock levels, stock descriptions, delivery dates, outstanding orders and expediting purchase orders
- Creation of job packs (identify, bag and tag materials) from planning reservations
