Role Synopsis

Provides HSE leadership to the Waterflood team across this area of the Clients’ operation. Directs a team of HSE Advisors to support improvements in personal and process safety.

The Water Flood HSE Lead establishes and implements safety programmes in support of the HSE plan deliverables. The position also consults and coaches the workforce in conjunction with the site HSE Advisors.

This is a key HSE leadership position supporting the Waterflood Operations Team, across a number of areas of the Clients’ business.

Key Accountabilities

Support Waterflood Leadership Team with safety related matters based on deep technical expertise.

Establish and implement safety programmes to improve personal and process safety to deliver safe, reliable and compliant operations.

Develop and lead Client based HSE work programmes with Site HSEA’s and Operations Managers to support delivery of the Clients’ HSE plan.

Undertake HSE and compliance audits, identify gaps and create gap closure plans. Assist with incident investigation and risk assessment.

Consult and coach the workforce with health and safety procedures and programmes, hazard identification and HSE training to promote awareness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Criteria

Educational background Essential:
  • Fluent in Arabic and English language with a desire to learn and work.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the oil & gas industry in an operation and/or HSE related role, Computer skills necessary desirable.
  • Internationally recognised safety qualifications.
  • Ability for written translation of Arabic / English.
  • Health and Safety education certifications or experience.
  • Experience with the Client or other industrial work environment.
