Our client, supporting the development of one of the largest producing oilfields in the world, is seeking a Team Leader for their Waterflood Optimisation team, working on a 28/28 rotation basis.

The Waterflood Optimisation Team Leader reports to the Waterflood Operations Manager and is accountable to support  the delivery of safe, reliable and compliant operations of the field.

The Waterflood Optimisation Team Leader works closely with Maintenance, Projects and Subsurface Teams to maximise monthly injection performance and assists the wider team to deliver sustainable injection performance through timely maintenance, facility / wells optimisation and improvement projects. Close interaction between Sourcewater treatment facility, PWRI and loss management  teams.

Operations Management
  • Update and distribute comprehensive daily reports, including Daily losses breakdown.
  • Optimise plant operations to maximize daily injection rates.
  • Establish and oversee robust monitoring routines.
  • Coordinate plant availability for maintenance while meeting injection targets.
  • Perform facility audits inline with monthly audit matrix
  • Management and Optimisation of Sourcewater / PWRI distribution

Project Support & Compliance
  • Provide technical input during project phases (design, construction, commissioning)
  • Enforce Management of Change, Protocols for equipment modifications
  • Ensure GOC process strictly adhered to including robust PPSR on equipment restarts
  • Lead team development initiatives

Optimisation Leadership
  • Update and distribute daily Optimisation reports (Incorporated in above daily report)
  • Provide operational guidance for well allocation optimisation
  • Lead daily injection rate maximization efforts
  • Collaborate with the subsurface team on well management
  • Oversee wellhead data collection and monitoring
  • Direct a team of 8 members (4 B2B 4) for optimisation activities

Required experience:
  • Strong execution delivery, interpersonal skills demonstrated in the leadership of operating teams, influencing on contractors and change management.
  • Clear knowledge and track record of Control of Work, HSE leadership and major incident control.
  • 10+ years of industry experience in a variety of roles that demonstrate skills. 
  • Good presentation and persuasion skills with effective interdisciplinary communication skills.
  • Well-developed staff coaching and development skills with a track record of developing local staff.
  • Experience working with diverse cultures would be beneficial but not essential
