To strengthen our team, Aker Solutions in Egersund is looking for a Welding Engineer who can help us succeed. 


What will you be doing? 
  • Quality assurance of welding activities according to NS-EN ISO 3834-2
  • Evaluate/investigate and give corrective action for all non-conformances due to discrepancies directly or indirectly to welding
  • Be a part of evaluation, qualification, inquires, auditing and following-up all subcontractors according to NS-EN ISO 3834-2
  • Review of WPS / WPQR and welders qualifications
  • Coordinate welding inspection activities
  • Continuous follow up the construction work regarding prefabrication and installation
  • Be actively involved in the design phase in order to ensure fabrication friendly solutions, use of automated welding processes and that weld requirements are incorporated
  • Research & development within production technology field
  • Qualification of bending procedures. Follow up bending fabrication.

We think you should have some of the following:
  • Do you have Master, Bachelors, within metallurgy / welding technology?
  • Minimum 3 years experience in oil&gas
  • Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education
  • International Welding Engineer (IWE)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Available for work in Norway
  • Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English and team player
