Wells Materials & Logistics Manager
Responsible for up to 6 people
Location: 28/28 Rotation in Iraq

Role Synopsis
  • Reporting directly to the Wells VP, the wells materials and logistics manager is an office-based level 2 manager / team leader who is the focal point for the day-to-day Logistics, Services and Materials support for all Drilling, Work over and non-rig operations.
  • A strong working relationship with PSCM, logistics, wells operation and engineering teams.
  • Visits to rig sites, vendor facilities and supply base facilities will be expected.
  • Confidence in long term Equipment and Services strategic planning is also essential.
  • Whilst fully working systems are in place for all procedures, it is identified that potential efficiency and rationalisation changes / improvements be a key driver
  • To be able to meet an increase in workload as Wells operations increase.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead the Wells Team by example with a strong commitment to HSSE, efficiency, practicality and training of skillsets to Iraqi nationals.
  • Road map potential digital changes and standardise workable wells materials and logistics processes and plans.
  • Assign responsibilities and tasks to expat and national team member’s dependent on skill  sets, experience and knowledge.
  • Accountability for cost control, cost recovery guidelines and reporting of well tangible usage in wells.
  • Full Accountability in long term planning for OCTG, Tangibles and Wellhead planning/ordering.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (API IADC ISO) through review and audit.
  • A Focal point with Wells departments for all equipment planning and requirements outwith of Iraq and the importation of such.
  • Identify and input Wells Requisitions, service orders, contract call offs, assist in new contract planning SOW’s, SBL’s, and track all orders & call offs placed by the department to final close.
  • Cradle to Grave mentality.
  • Be a proactive working cog in a big complex wheel.
  • Focal CAM for the in country OCTG inspection contract, API machine shops and liaise with inspection teams as required relating to operational requirements and priorities.

Criteria & Qualifications
  • Ability to coach and mentor national staff in best industry practises.
  • 12 years track record of delivery in PSCM & Materials operations for large scale up-stream
  • Drilling & Workover operations and strategic planning.
  • Ability to streamline, roadmap, rollout and implement new processes and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of transport standards and guidelines.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment and operations in Land drilling / Work over / Well services operations.
  • Strong team player and proven experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and HSSE requirements relating to logistics and transport in a large Drilling / Completion/ Workover/ Well services environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate openly at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to move and digitalise processes where identified
