Our Client, A Major Global Oil and Gas Operator, is currently seeking an Asset Commercial Analyst to join their team for a 12 – 14-month contract with potential for ongoing opportunities. This role is central to the Clients commercial operations, supporting the delivery of high-integrity carbon projects that benefit Australian landholders and the environment.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will work across project portfolios to coordinate data, reporting, and performance insights, while supporting compliance, risk management, and commercial delivery. This role suits someone with a background in Law, Commerce, or Management, and an interest in climate policy, carbon markets, and sustainable land use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Input and present ACCU forecasting data to leadership and stakeholders
  • Coordinate project and portfolio performance reporting, including forward abatement estimates and contract delivery
  • Liaise with finance, legal, and commercial teams to assess project performance
  • Support compliance with legislation, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks
  • Assist in managing ACCU supply and delivery, including agency sales
  • Contribute to risk mitigation, process improvement, and business growth
  • Advise on integration of new projects into workflows or creation of new workstreams
  • Represent Select Carbon with external stakeholders, including project proponents and the Clean Energy Regulator
  • Apply knowledge of carbon and climate policy to align business impact with external expectations
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce, Management or related fields
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including basic drafting ability
  • Commercial awareness and analytical thinking
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
  • Interest in sustainability, agriculture, and climate action
