Job Purpose
The Construction Superintendent (Offshore – HUC) acts as the Company’s site representative, leading offshore brownfield, shutdown, and hook-up operations. This role ensures full compliance with QE LNG safety, quality, integrity, and operational objectives during offshore execution and commissioning.
You will coordinate closely with OESS, Operations, EPC Contractors, Subcontractors, and marine units to drive flawless offshore execution across multiple platforms within the NFPS Compression Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure 100% adherence to all safety protocols, PTW procedures, marine rules, and operational standards during offshore execution.
  • Lead and oversee Brownfield, Shutdown, Hook-Up, Mechanical Completion, Pre‑Commissioning, and Commissioning activities.
  • Conduct and lead daily offshore meetings (Safety, PTW Coordination, Schedule reviews, etc.).
  • Ensure Contractor compliance with QE rules, method statements, JSA approvals, and project documentation.
  • Review and monitor Contractor progress reports, highlight concerns, and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with QE-LNG Hosts for PTW issuance and SIMOPS compliance.
  • Drive safety culture improvement across JUB, workboats, and all marine units.
  • Participate in Lessons Learned and REX sessions.
  • Maintain strong and continuous communication with OESS and Operations teams.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, technical expertise, and resource deployment during execution.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum Education: High School (12 years of study)
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years in large offshore construction projects (Brownfields, HUC, Shutdowns, fabrication, installation).
    • 1+ year in an Offshore CSR Lead role (or equivalent acting/oversight capacity).
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of offshore design standards, installation codes, safety criteria, and commissioning methods.
    • Experience with sour gas, LNG production facilities, and complex SIMOPS environments.
    • Familiarity with offshore structures, Marine operations, and major EPC contractor teams.
Work Rotation
28 days on / 28 days off
Assignment located across JUB and Work Boats depending on contractor schedule
