Position Overview The Contracts Administrator is responsible for administering and overseeing the full lifecycle of contracts supporting a large-scale mining development project. This role ensures that contractual agreements align with the project’s strategic, operational, and financial objectives while maintaining compliance with applicable legal standards and corporate policies.

The Contracts Administrator works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, ensuring performance, risk mitigation, and compliance throughout the contract term. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in contract management within mining, energy, or large-scale construction environments, along with strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Contract Lifecycle Management

  • Administer contracts from pre-award through close-out, ensuring performance aligns with contractual terms, schedules, and budgets.

  • Lead the development and implementation of contract administration processes, including change order management.

  • Provide direction and oversight to EPCm contract engineering teams to ensure consistent contract execution across the project.

  • Prepare, review, and revise contract procedures, templates, and supporting documentation.

  • Manage contract close-out activities in alignment with overall project objectives.

Commercial & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.

  • Facilitate regular performance review meetings to monitor compliance, address risks, and resolve contractual issues.

  • Support negotiation of contract terms, amendments, and claims as required.

  • Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and internal governance standards.

Qualifications Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

  • 5–10 years of contract management experience, including a minimum of 3 years supporting mining, energy, or large-scale construction projects.

  • Professional certifications such as CCCM, CFCM, CIPS, or PMP are preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of contract law principles and commercial terms.

  • Demonstrated negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple large capital contracts and competing deadlines.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functional and project teams in a matrixed environment.
