Job Purpose To ensure that all applicable continuing airworthiness requirements, in accordance with QCAA-approved CAMO standards, are reviewed and implemented. The role involves developing and enhancing engine analytic tools for defect prognosis, managing aircraft and engine performance data exchange with manufacturers, and supporting engine off-wing management and lease return conditions.

The Development Engineer – EN01 will play a key role in maintaining engine configuration integrity, optimizing engine maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance and cost efficiency throughout the engine lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities
  • Provide required aircraft and engine performance data to manufacturers and solution providers, ensuring continuity and accuracy of supplied data.

  • Coordinate with engine OEMs for regular provisioning of engine hardware data.

  • Develop and enhance analytic-based maintenance tools in collaboration with engine manufacturers and solution providers to improve predictive maintenance and engine work scoping.

  • Support development of engine/APU removal plans based on analytics and hardware data.

  • Advise and assist the Engine Condition Monitoring team in on-wing inspections and corrective actions using Continuous Engine Operational Data (CEOD).

  • Maintain configuration databases for engines under sale and leaseback contracts, ensuring compliance with lease return conditions.

  • Support off-wing engine management, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements and maintenance of spare engine availability.

  • Collaborate with engine facilities, OEMs, and service providers to resolve off-wing engine management queries.

  • Assist in evaluating airworthiness and service documentation (AD/CN/SB/SIL/OIT/AOT/NSB/TFU/FTD) and take necessary actions in a timely manner (e.g., issue EO, ESWC, CMA, TN).

  • Maintain and update engine and APU configurations, including LLP life monitoring and reporting for business finance purposes.

  • Maintain aircraft, component, and software configuration databases and update PN Master records.

  • Support Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) revisions and related reporting activities.

  • Continuously review and enhance departmental processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with evolving business needs.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills Education:

  • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ job-related experience, OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years’ job-related experience

Experience:

  • Background in CAMO, Powerplant/Engine Performance Engineering, or Engine Health Monitoring preferred.

  • Exposure to engine analytics, lease return management, or OEM data coordination advantageous.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to technical detail.

  • Knowledge of aircraft engine performance and configuration management systems.

  • Familiarity with OEM digital tools and data reporting standards.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and engineering data systems.
