The Rotating Equipment / Diesel Marine Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of large diesel and gas engines, turbochargers, and related rotating equipment used in marine and power generation applications. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex technical documentation to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, maintenance, and overhaul of large diesel and gas engines, turbochargers, and propeller gear systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults using technical drawings, blueprints, and engine schematics.
- Conduct precision measurements, alignment, and reassembly of rotating components.
- Collaborate with service teams, mechanical technicians, and engineering staff to execute repair and maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Supervise or mentor junior technicians as needed, ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards.
- Prepare detailed service and inspection reports, documenting findings, repair actions, and recommendations.
- Maintain compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality control standards.

- Ensure all tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment are maintained and properly calibrated.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance, diesel/marine engine repair, or power-plant service.
- Proven background in mechanical, marine, or power generation engineering.
- Technical proficiency in engine systems, including auxiliaries such as coolers, filters, and separators.
- Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, tolerances, and component alignment principles.
- Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and service bulletins.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with OEM equipment such as Wärtsilä, Caterpillar, or similar marine/power systems.
- Familiarity with condition monitoring and diagnostic tools for rotating equipment.
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices within the marine, energy, or heavy industrial sectors.
