We are working with our major oil and gas client, recruiting for a Digital Cost Analyst on an initial 6 month contract. The Digital Cost Analyst is responsible for driving digital cost transparency, surfacing actionable insights, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the Digital portfolio. This role partners closely with Finance to ensure timely and accurate digital cost updates, supports forecasting, and delivers analytics that empower the Digital Leadership Team (DLT) and business units.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Digital Cost Updates & Insights
- Manage and update digital cost data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in partnership with Finance.
- Surface key cost trends, variances, and optimisation opportunities through regular analysis and reporting.
- Present actionable insights to the Digital Leadership Team and business units.
- Develop and maintain Power BI (or similar) dashboards to visualise digital spend, usage patterns, and financial performance.
- Enable self-serve analytics for stakeholders, promoting financial transparency and digital literacy.
- Support regular forecasting cycles for digital spend, collaborating with Finance and business units.
- Build financial models to project digital cost scenarios and assess impact.
- Ensure digital cost management processes align with financial governance standards and audit requirements.
- Assist with cost recovery efforts and documentation for services, software, and hardware.
- Stakeholder engagement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (e.g., variance analysis, corrective action planning)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinking and process improvement mindset
- Experience with Power BI or similar dashboarding tools
- Familiarity with FinOps or cloud cost management is a plus
