D&W Cost Controller

 

Contract period: 02.02.2026 - 15.01.2027

Location: Stavanger

 

Main tasks:

  • Prepare DCE and AFE by well using cost driver model and present to budget owners for approval and submit via DocuSign
  • Contribute to calculating and gathering input for MLC
  • Review cost and commitments, prepare accruals, verify actuals and variance analysis
  • Maintain and update forecasts in Fiori for wells within area of responsibility
  • Provide input to the business plan for wells in execution
  • Facilitate regular cost reviews with relevant budget executors
  • Prepare final well cost summary for After action reviews and well scorecard
  • Verify PR and cost transaction, and execute re-posting/prepare loaders as required
  • Request Master data (WBS and Network) for activities supported
  • Calculate, monitor and allocate rig intake/common cost related to rig lines
  • Follow up time writing and assure correct use of time-codes for planning cost and wells in operation
  • Provide input to logistics split and review logistic allocations
  • Review and understand cost for the reported activity against activity plans
  • Contribute with variance explanations in JV report and to financial reporting
  • Prepare end of well tasks; well and inventory reconciliation
  • Prepare cost analysis (“what if”) related to different scenarios and scope
  • Support and assist in partner audits as required
 

Qualifications:

  • Familiar with and actively use available toolkit; SAP, data warehouse, Power BI reports, Fiori forecasting app, Cost driver model and other relevant tools used for cost management
  • Knowledge of financial regulations for the sector and the Joint Operating Agreement (JOA) and other relevant contracts (e.g. alliance contracts, Norwegian Oil and Gas’ Guidelines 077)
  • Understand the main elements of the operations in support and ensure activity-based forecasting and preparation of actuals according to ‘value of work done’ principles
  • Integrate with budget managers/executors and be able to communicate cost picture and variances
  • Remain aware of market trends that could impact budget/costs (steel vs casing, FX-rates etc.).
  • Demonstrate understanding and execution of key BMS processes
