Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer –  SAF Plant
Role Summary
The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer provides technical expertise for all electrical systems, instrumentation, and control infrastructure during commissioning, start‑up, and ongoing operations of the SAF plant. The role ensures equipment reliability, compliance, and safe functioning of all automation and power systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems, including LV/MV distribution, motors, VFDs, PLC/DCS systems, safety instrumented systems, sensors, and analyzers.
  • Perform loop checks, cause‑and‑effect testing, instrument calibration, and verification of control logic.
  • Ensure all E&I installations meet engineering standards, safety regulations, and hazardous‑area classification requirements (ATEX/IECEx if applicable).
  • Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation failures during start‑up and operations.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans for electrical and control systems.
  • Provide technical input to operations for plant improvements, reliability enhancements, and control optimisation.
  • Maintain documentation (single‑line diagrams, instrument index, I/O lists, calibration records, control narratives).
  • Support management of change (MOC) processes involving electrical or control modifications.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or related engineering field.
  • Experience with commissioning and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial plants.
  • Familiarity with PLC/DCS platforms, safety systems (SIS), and instrumentation calibration.
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting capability.
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical and instrumentation codes and standard
