This role offers a mix of office-based and field-based work, with time spent in the field throughout the year on a campaign basis supporting exploration programs.
About the Role
Reporting to the Exploration Manager, you will be responsible for identifying exploration targets, designing and executing field programs, interpreting geological data, and contributing to geological modelling and QAQC processes. The role is based in Perth CBD, with up to 6 months of fieldwork annually, typically on an 8:6 or 12:9 roster, with flexibility for campaign-style arrangements as needed.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct exploration activities safely and in alignment with company values and procedures.
- Assist in the development and execution of exploration programs, including mapping, sampling, and drilling.
- Supervise drilling campaigns, including geological logging, sampling, contractor management, and rehabilitation.
- Generate and justify new exploration targets using a variety of data sources.
- Maintain high standards of data capture, validation, and storage in geological and spatial databases.
- Communicate findings and recommendations through reports, presentations, and meetings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support project evaluation and resource development.
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Geology.
- Some experience either in field based exploration roles or geology consultancy environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supervising aircore, reverse circulation, and diamond drilling programs.
- Understanding of sampling theory and QAQC procedures.
- Proficiency in geological software such as QGIS, Leapfrog, and IoGAS is highly regarded.
- Ability to work effectively in both team and independent settings.
